levitation
Natusumi Hayashi
we copied her style and did some of our own photos |
here are some other good imitations of her work that I didn't take but decided to put in. |
I was required to take pictures of levitation and show how it could be achieved. I really enjoyed the task and took photos of my friends in motion. My intention was to respond to this project by using myself because I wanted to explore movement in the air.

Francesca Woodman
Francesca is a photographer that uses different affects to make a ghostlike picture. her work includes mostly grey or dark picture to add to the atmosphere of supernatural. she does her photos by using a long shutter speed (0.7 of a second) and spin or move while the shutter is open. this creates a blurry ghost like affect on the thing thats moving.
we copied her syleof photography by using her method and used photoshop for a better result. 1st to get the dark grey affect we used something called grey scale.
|
1. select grey scale and press discard when the option pops up.
2. this allows you to change the concentration of grey (optional)

Movement best images.
i chose this picture to be one of my final peices because of the affect it has on the veiwer. the affect causes the veiwer to think this person is floating just from a image but it is only a singular picture taken when the person is jumping.
the reason why is chose this image is because of the way we manipulated the light and th shutter speed using movement to create an image which link to the topic of movement.
the reason why is chose this image is because again a series of still images formed a moving animation (gif) and displays the topic of movement very well.
the reason why i chose this image is because it displays the use if shutter speed to manipulate the image. for example we used bulb setting on the shutter speed to pick up all the light needed to create the image
