camera obscura
the camera Obscura was the first form of camera ever invented.
the camera was invented by an Arabian scientist called Alzahen.
the way the camera works by projecting light into a small dark room through a hole in the wall, then the light forms an image on the opposite wall of the hole.
t it wasn't easy to transport the box needed for this method and it limited the images you could capture with it but that changed when Johann Heinrich schultz discovered that silver nitrate darkened upon exposure to light. the helped the camera evolve into wha it is today.henry fox Talbot, created a camera like system called the calotype process. this is when paper is soaked in silver chloride and fixed in salt salvation and this. created positive pictures by contact printing onto . another sheet of paper.

how to make it.
1) cut a two centimetre square at the end of the cardboard box. 2)leave the other end of the cardboard box open. 3)cut a piece of tracing paper on the open side. 4)put a magnifying glass on the 2cm hole. 6)place your camera obscures to an image and it will project it onto the taking paper. |
SLR camera
A single-lens reflex camera (SLR) is a camera that typically uses a mirror and prism system (hence "reflex" from the mirror's reflection) that permits the photographer to view through the lens and see exactly what will be captured. With twin lens reflex and range finder camera, the viewed image could be significantly different from the final image. When the shutter button is pressed on a mechanical SLR, the mirror flips out of the light path, allowing light to pass through to the light receptor and the image to be captured.

appeture
appetite is a hole in the lens, through which light travels into the camera body. the larger the hole, the more light passes into the camera to the camera sensor. appeture also controls the depth of feild, which is the is the portion of a scene that appears to be sharp. if the apeture is very small, the depth of field is large, while if the aperture is large the depth of field is small. in photography, aperture is typically expressed in "f" numbers.
Shutter speed
shutter speed is the length of time a camera shutter is open for to expose light into the camera sensor. shutter speeds are measured in fractions of a second (when they are under a second). slow shutter speeds allow more light into the camera sensor and are used for low-light and night photography, while fast shutter speed help to freeze motions. in my images I used shutter speeds of 1 second , 1/250 of a second and 1/500 of a second. |
